Hey all, I was on the team for this projection system used at the Orlando Magic season opening game. Here's a link to the youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oroA5ocL250

The system used 4 Christie projectors edge blended, content was sent from two Grass Valley Turbo iDDR's.

Had a blast being on the development team for it, the website for the service is http://www.smartarenasystems.com

Feedback is appreciated!

Thanks,
Could anyone tell me what a fair price of a gently used Philips bSure XG2 Projector would be? Or possibly point me in the proper direction...
http://www.projectorcentral.com/Philips-bSure_XG2.htm

I was laid off, and i need to sell one. I don't have much food to eat, and I'm going to use the money i get to buy food. I'm in a terrible situation, and not sure if a used one is worth $500 or $1,500...
I really don't have a clue, and need to try to get the most that it's worth.

Thanks so much in advance, i really appreciate it.

Sony to Unveil Uncharted 2 on the Big Screen

I got a ticket to this next week. Sony's doing a big premiere for the new PS3 game Uncharted 2 at some theaters across the country. I've yet to experience anything in 4K, but this really piqued my interest. I downloaded the demo for Uncharted 2 yesterday and the graphics are fantastic and very fluid - almost cinema like. So it actually makes a lot of sense to show this off on the big screen. Anyone else hear about this? Going to this? Interested? I'd love to discuss it

Hi - please take alook at these images from my sanyo LCD projector. Do you think it is dust? The pictures show the offending material focussed with the projected image out of focus and what the projected iamge looks like whne it is correctly focussed to view. I used compressed air to blow out the LCD panels but have seen no improvement. Could there be dust elsewhere or is this a more significant issue?

Thx.

I have a Sanyo projector. Looks like dust on the image in some places - splotchy patches (not uniform), noticable in lighter scenes, not really in dark scenes. I used compressed air to blow off the LCD panels - no luck. Took it to a 'repair' guy - he charged me $100 to clean it - looks the same to me. If you click on the photo to enlarge it you will see what I mean - especially near the top of the screen. I THINK it's dust but would like some feedback before I take it back to him. I am not an expert.

Hey all, I have a sony 1031qm every thing works good exept the brightness knob. I cant adjust it up or down. I took it to a technition and he told me it was the pix tubes, done nothing and charged me $100. Im sure its just a board as the tubes dont have any wear or burn marks and the picture is perfect other than you cant adjust the brightness.
Has any had this problem or know witch board needs replacing? "HELP" :-(

I know it's not really home theater, but do you guys have any feedback as to mobile projectors for use in my RV / outdoors use? I'm looking at the Benq 100 lumen unit, Dell M209 (50 lumens) or the AAXA P1 projector (12 lumens). I'm really leaning towards the AAXA mobile projector because it's the only one that is truly battery powered but it's also only 12 lumens??? Will that be enough? Or should I go with something else?

Oh and I really want an LED only projector because I've had projector lamps break frequently in the RV (probably due to the bumps)

Here's the specs:

http://www.aaxatech.com/products/kp1..._projector.htm

What do you guys think? 12 lumens ok for some minor video watching at night or should I go with a brighter unit? There's also a Samsung one that has 160 lumens I think but it's pricey...
