Comparison among The most popular three Blu-ray rippers

Blu-ray as a new disc format has greater storage capacity, faster reading and writing speed, and more safe data storage function. It becomes more and...

Blu-ray as a new disc format has greater storage capacity, faster reading and writing speed, and more safe data storage function. It becomes more and more popular in nowadays. However, there are so many Blu-ray products, then how to choose the right Blu-ray Ripper? In order to solve this problem, I chose three best-selling Blu-ray Rippers to make a comparative analysis on its price, main functions and additional functions, and I hope it will facilitate everyone to get a more thorough understanding about Blu-ray Ripper.
Do you need rip Blu-ray?. With the Prosperity of Blu-ray market, many software development companies have seized this opportunity and developed Blu-ray Ripper. With Blu-ray Ripper, you can rip Blu-ray to almost all the formats you need. You can find many products of this kind by searching on the net. However, do these Blu-ray Rippers have the same quality and function? It is hard for ordinary consumers to distinguish the true from the false. For this reason, I write this article to instruct you how to rip Blu-ray reasonably.
Take iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper, Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper for comparison. We can get the result thatiToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper has the most direct operating procedures. We can install and run it directly after purchasing. However, Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper cannot do this. You have to buy third-party software (Any DVD) before installing and running your Blu-ray. We can see it in the screen shots below.
The price for Any DVD is from $100 to $150(it depends on the using time you choose). That is to say, except iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper, Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper cannot rip Blu-ray dependently, that is the most fundamental reason why their operating cost is much higher than iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper.
Moreover, take movie “Water Horse” for example; the reading speed of iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper for this movie is less than one second. But Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper will take users more than 2 minutes to read, much slower than iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper.
The third point is users can select one kind of output audio tracks and output subtitles as the original movies had, as you like with iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper. However, Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper do not have these two functions
The fourth difference, which is rather important to users, is iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper has the function of acquire titles; you can surely get complete and sequential movies after conversion. However, Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper cannot acquire all the titles, and they can only convert single m2ts video file, the converted movies maybe not complete with these two soft wares
The fifth point, which is the last difference for these three soft wares, is the operating interface when you converting your movies. iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper can show users a clearer converting information in preview window such as file name, file size, file path, used time and rest time while the other two can’t show rest time for converting and can only show the other information in the bottom of their operating interface, not so clear as iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper.
Finally, they all have fast converting speed and can run background.
I tested these three soft wares for many times, so to sum up, I think iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper has the highest cost performance. It will be the best choice for users. As for Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and AVCWare Blu-ray Ripper, they are less satisfactory than iToolSoft Blu-ray Ripper.

Do you have any suggestions AND possibly a mail order or web site where I can oreder one. I went to the Samsung page and all the local dealers they mention do not carry these tuners

I got a great price on this Niles SI-245 2ch amp, and decided to buy it...thinking that I could leverage its power for a great 2-ch setup.

Upon first hookup, I noticed that the volume could only be managed by a set of L/R gains on the front of the unit...not to mention that I must use a screwdriver to adjust these.

IMO, not the most ideal setup. I would like to control the volume via one of my AV receivers (Onkyo 706 or Denon 789), which both have Zone 2 options.

Anybody have experience with these Niles amps, or one like it with similar connectivity options.

Hello, this is my first post and I am a low voltage contractor, primarily data, video and voice structured cabling. I came across a commercial audio...

Hello, this is my first post and I am a low voltage contractor, primarily data, video and voice structured cabling. I came across a commercial audio job, 18 speaker (non dual voice coils) with 9 volume controls (each volume controls 2 speaker).

I am using an 8 channel amp and a 12 channel amp, all speakers are wired in a homerun fashion (each channel in the amp has a +/- going to each volume control, and then each volume control has a +/- going to each speaker). This may sound like a waste of speaker wire, but it has been pulled and connected.

The problem is that the client wants mono played out of each speaker.

The plan I have is to use the current NAD 7020i amp/receiver/tuner (I know, old but good) that he has and use the pre-out to connect to the 2 amps. In essence, I am only using the NAD as a receiver/tuner (bypassing the amps) and using line out to the real amps. Problem is, I need to split the stereo sound into mono to both amps.

I've been told that I can use a stereo to mono cable from the NAD line out, and then split the mono signal into 2 using a y cable to the "L" channel of each amp. The 2 amps have linking capabilities to share the same source with all channels.

Does anyone see a problem with this set up? Thanks for your consideration.

Hey guys.

I just built a shuttle computer to set next to my Tv gear and have a little trouble getting everything to work..

I have the computer going HDMI to my Denon....and the Denon is going HDMI to the TV that now only acts like a monitor for everything.. (Tv, DVD, etc etc)

The shuttle was a blank machine and have installed XP on it..and believe all the driver are installed correctly. As I type this now I have the computer showing up on the TV, going through my Denon, but a couple things.....

1. I'm not getting any sound and believe I have set the Denon up correctly.. (as I'm seeing things opn the TV via HDMI)

2.The resolution is horrible and when I use the roller in the mouse its spotty and slow...

I'm terrible at all of this and could use some help..

Thank you..

Hi all, Hope there are some tech types out there to help w/ this problem. Really enjoy the set when its working but thats not too often. Does not have the normal "power on" problem that some of the samsungs have, but a prolem just the same. Comes on fine but the back light's are turning on and off 2-3 times a second. Sound is steady and the picture is in focus (staying on) but the backlights are just flashing. So its like the tv is turning on and off (but its not) its just the backlights make it look so. Pulled the back off and no "domed, shorted caps" and connections are secure from the hv transformer to the distribution panel. Most probably one of the switching fet's up against the heat sink that controls the transformer. Any takers on this problem? thanks in advance, Joe
ps if I unplug the set for a day or 2,,, it "Might" come on. And it stays on once its on. Just hard to get it to come on.

Samsung Interference/Handshake issues using baluns

I work for a home audio/video business. We have noticed several issues between the new model year Samsung LCD's and Blu Ray players. In many installations we use Cat-5 HDMI baluns to run video signal from the AV receiver to the monitor. We have noticed that since the new model Samsungs came out sometimes the picture "pops" in and out or does not show up at all. Even stranger... in a couple installations the flick of a light switch... or a fan switch... or an HVAC unit kicking on will cause the picture to cut out. This issue occurs regardless of the balun manufacturer. I know what you're thinking... interference because the Cat-5 cables are too close to a high-voltage line. This is what I thought, so we bypassed the in-wall cabling and simply stretched new Cat-5 cabling across the floor, reconnected it to (again, 4 or 5 different well-known balun manufacturers) and the SAME result happened every time. We also achieved the same result if we bypassed the AV receiver and hooked straight to the TV using the baluns. We even switched the wiring to Cat-6 to give us the best possible resistance to AC interference to no avail. This is troubling because we liked the products Samsung had to offer and are looking at abandoning it all-together... to say nothing of customers and quotes hanging in limbo.
On another note, if we change the blu-ray player to LG... the problem disappears. Has Samsung gone cheap and gotten rid of some video shielding? Or is it a problem with the baluns not keeping up to date with the latest HDMI versions which may be available now in Samsung models and not LG?
Any help is appreciated... we are scratching the skin off our heads on this one. Needless to say, Samsung won't be of much help.
