Thriller was mixed for 5.1 and DVD-Audio but never released

I'd buy a 5.1 mix of Thriller in a blink. Although I've lost hope for the SACD it's held me back from buying the stereo version. Then again, I rarely buy stereo SACDs, being primarily interested in multichannel.

I've also got little hope we'll see the mix on BD because SACD is not the issue, but the artist's approval clause in the contract that stipulates the artist can veto what the record company wants to release. Sony's poored millions into the 5.1 mixes of Michael Jackson's albums, according to the article referred here.
