Help...can't play a DVD-A
Hi everybody,
I have a problem with a DVD-A bought two years ago at Amazon (and still can't listen to it). This DVD is "Surround Music" authored by WERGO (Germany) and I noticed it has all the information on the Audio_TS folder (not the Video_TS folder as the common today format). The larger files are .AOB but non of the actual DVD nor Blu-Ray players support it. The disc says it can be played on DVD-A compatible equipment but that doesn't happen. If I put it on a DVD o BD player nothing happens. If I put it on my Playstation 3 it shows the Audio_TS folder as data. If I put it on my PC DVD player I can see the Audio_TS folder full of files. I tried to run them using Nero and the message I got was "MLP decode needed". I don't understand what kind of DVD-A is this because is the only I can't play. Thanks in advance for your response. |
Re: Help...can't play a DVD-A
You need a dvd or blu-ray player that plays DVD-audio disc and it will be an universal player. Also the player has to be installed by analog cables all 6 inputs of a receiver.

He is right, you need a DVD-audio system, which are rare these days, so look for a Universal disc player, I have one that plays DVD-as ,SACDs, CDs, CDRs, mp3 CDs and HDCDs, plus regular DVDs.
