Which Peter Gabriel SACD is best?

My vote goes to Security however it is tough to pick.

I think the fact that a BUNCH of Gabriel Records have been released as a group is EXACTLY what both formats needed. The lack of surround sound, video supplmentals etc... made the deal fail unfortuantely.

But in the end - when I want to listen to Gabriel - I look to my SACDs and they sound great. For surround, i cheat and use Meridian's "tri-field" mode which is really really good. Andrew Robinson was raving about how good the Yamaha surround sound modes are on much cheaper receivers and AR owns meridian electronics himself...

Firstly, this is not all of the PG SACD catalog releases.

NONE OF THE ABOVE! Where is UP? That is the ONLY one with a 5.1 mix. That is the best one IMHO.

PG SACD marketing mistakes:
1. Not providing 5.1 mixes excluding Up which was a new album
2. Not even making US releases SACD hybrids (UK imports are)

I'll buy them all (again) when they are properly done in 5.1 SACD or DVD-A
