Are you saying there were no BD SA sales in the 4th quarter of this year despite the BD-P1400 dropping to $269? Is that what you're trying to tell us to get through our heads?

Yeah I thought that's what you said.

Oh and the 360 add-on is not a SA either, because you can't use it by itself, you have to already own a 360. That puts HD DVD SA's at a little over 500,000.

So we have you spouting misinformation about SA figures for Blu-ray.
Lotus spouting misinformation about disc yields, which retailers are included in Nielsen's numbers and how many BD50 replication facilities there are.
PRO-630 spouting misinformation about which title has sold the most copies

Who is next? You HD DVD fanboys are just on fire with all the misinformation, but that should be no surprise to anyone that's followed the format war as Camp HD DVD's typical modus operandi.

Is that the future you hope HDM has? About 2% of the size of the CD section?

My Best Buy is the only store in my area that even has a small SACD section, the Wal*Mart's, Future Shop, HMV, etc., none of them carry them.
You suggest that retailers will drop the software if it doesn't sell.

Best Buy has yet to drop SACD. Wal-Mart never sold SACD to begin with.

It's very rare for a retailer to start selling something and then drop it without that format being dead, dead, dead.

Did you guys see this?

Seattle Times' Brier Dudley predicts in a column today:
-----
"In particular, Microsoft could work with Toshiba to develop a digital video recorder with a hard-drive, high-definition HD-DVD drive and Xbox gaming capabilities. They're already allied against Sony and other backers of the Blu-ray DVD format, and Toshiba could help Xbox finally penetrate the Japanese market.

Microsoft could also make a splash by announcing plans to give the Xbox 360 an internal HD-DVD drive, putting it on par with Sony's PlayStation 3 that has a built-in Blu-ray drive."
-----
Hmmm… would an Xbox with HD DVD, a TL51 title announcement and Warner Bros exclusivity pretty much end this war in one swoop? I'm dreaming of course.. but...

It's not an attack it's a valid observation.

An attack would be something like

"This idiot doesn't know what he's talking about"
"Quit crying like a little *****"
"Go **** yourself *******"

I'm sure you know the difference. I'm not attacking you, I'm refuting the information which you've put forward that shows you are not aware of the facts.

You claimed that Amazon is not in the Nielsens and that there are only three plants capable of BD50 replication and both those things are wrong. This is misinformation on you part. If you're saying that I can't even point out that you're putting forth misinformation then you are asking for an Orwellian approach to this forum and I don't believe the site's administrators want that sort of approach.

You asked earlier if I would just go away and post at AVS, but it seems that you're the one that would be better off posting there as they allow the censorship of the truth there in favour of pro-HD DVD misinformation.

200k is the last quoted number, as the 750k is for HD DVD. Why would I be going by those?

I guarantee there were more HD DVD SA's sold then Blu-ray, even with the firesale obsolete clearance of the Samsung 1400/BDP-300.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the 360 AO is in fact a stand alone. Just because it requires a 360 does not mean it can't be counted. The sole purpose of it is to play HD DVDs, nothing else. Why would anyone buy it and not watch movies?

Dolby, your the one spouting out crap, not us. Blu-ray.com misses you, go back. Theres some cryptic message for you to decipher I'm sure.
