As of October 2nd, 2007. Are you suggesting no SA's have been sold in the fourth quarter? No PS3's? No PC burners? (There are almost 10 million pieces of Blu-ray compatible hardware on the market)

What's incompatible by the way? Will I not be able to watch my Blu-ray movies on one of these players?

If sales remain as they are 16 months from now you will see studios starting to lose interest in creating HDM content and Microsoft will have thier way as they pay more and more money for studios to release downloadable HD content exclusively through their providing system.
You're right all those choices people have on TV formats is bad everyone should have CABLE. I'll get right out and tell the world. Tape or Records? That didn't work out well either did it? You're right having a choice has never done well at all.

I love the little conspiracy theory you BD guys seem to be so sure of. MS has this Evil Plan to get Downloadable Media as the next big thing. Even though it's not even an option today.

You can't possibly believe that MS has this plan. Where are you going to download it to? TVs don't have internet capability built in. We're two years from that likely becoming a normal standard feature on TVs.

Sure they have the XBOX 360. It has LIVE and you can download 720p movies! So there is a market there.

Where else is there a market? How many PCs are correctly hooked up for DD+ for instance. How many PCs are connected to a TV or anything?

Sure MS wants more options for LIVE and hopes LIVE has a future. It's smart to plan for it. They don't however think it's a reasonable short term option.

That's why they're invested in HD DVD.

If Sales remain as they are 16 months from now HD DVD will have around 3M players while BD will be around 1.3M. We both... well ok I'm smart enough to know they won't stay the way they are, and I can only assume you're not dumb enough to think nothing can change the market growth in 16 months.... So we know it should be better than that.

Will the Studios abandon that market? Not likely. Will they hope for another outlet? Sure.

You're right I must be nuts to think that I see SACD racks at Best Buy.

PS3s are not stand alones. Get that through you're head.

And 10 Million Blu-ray hardware and they can't even sell 2:1 every week? FOR SHAME BLU-RAY!

Yeah, take a pic of your local BB's SACD section and get back to me.

Is that the future you hope HDM has? About 2% of the size of the CD section?

My Best Buy is the only store in my area that even has a small SACD section, the Wal*Mart's, Future Shop, HMV, etc., none of them carry them.

Wow there is a totally irrelvant example. Are you sure you don't get paid by MS?

Vinyl LP recordings began to be released in the late 40's.

Cassette's came out in the 60's for storage and were used as a medium in the late 70's.

Nice try though.....not.
