Who's going to CEDIA?

So who is going to give us the scoop from CEDIA EXPO 2007?

CEDIA is September 5-9 in Denver & this will be the last chance for receiver manufactures to show me what they've got before I lay my $$$$ down!
Right now it's a toss up between the Denon 3808ci & the Sony STR-DA5300ES.
They both look good on paper, I've seen reviews of both but not a direct head to head comparison.
Here in the Tulsa area the stores that carry the Denon don't carry the Sony & the stores that carry the Sony don't carry Denon!
I have auditioned the Denon but the Sony hasn't hit the stores yet (9/7/07 release date)

So whoever is going to CEDIA do me a favor if you have the time & check out these & the other new receivers (under $2K) & give me the scoop!

Ken, Andrew and I are going....

We will have a lot to say about what we saw....

My only problem is that we don't do official show coverage and if you miss ANYTHING that someone is showing, they tend to get their feelings hurt. One thing that IS cool now is that with the forum we now have a place to put FAR MORE news from a show like CEDIA. And thankfully, as big as CEDIA is - its not as fractionalized as CES which is mostly now off-site exhibits.

As Jerry said, I will be there and can't wait! This show is small enough (though still huge) that it can be handled easily and there is a ton of new gear coming down the pike so it should be super fun! I will try to keep you posted,

I am awaiting some of the new Denon receivers myself for review if all stays as planned, really looking forward to utilizimg all the new audio formats on HD DVD and Blu-ray. From my experience with using the 5.1 uncompressed tracks via HDMI 1.2 the difference is huge!

I also can't wait for the wild Game and Cheese plate in a little bar I found there last year..... It was so good I went back for another meal just to get the app!

Show was great, I missed the wild game and beer sausage plate though, only got to the Appaloosa Grill once and they were out of it! Damn them! I did have a great bison delmonico @ Marlowes and some awesome duck as Mezuna (I think that's it's name) and the bone in NY strip @ Del Frisco's was exceptional, as was the waitress there......
