Why HD DVD and Blu-ray Need You To Be an Early Adopter Now

Whatever HD formats and HD connections are available out there for the consumers, such as HDMI (1.1, 1.2, or 1.3), DVI or no DVI, IEEE, HD DVD, Blu-ray, etc, etc. remember, it is an on-going evolution of High Definition, nothing is going to be perfect, and don't expect anything, get ready to be surprised. They can not please every consumer, there will be more changes and adjustments. So what, if the HD DVD and Blu-ray die, the end result will be a format that everyone can be happy with, and if you as a consumer want to wait out and see, you are not contributing any progress to the HD evolution.

Knew that, that's why I listed it as HD-DVD & B-R player. Hate to say it but those formats just had so little support that it was close to a retroactive abortion.

As always... content strength, availability and pricing will greatly affect how this competition plays out.

* How many "A" movies are released thru the Holiday season

* What special features and extras are added onto these discs

* What kind of special prices, freebies and bundles are offered by each format

Does anybody care to predict the January 2008 market share for each of these hi-def disc formats?
