As a long time industry veteran, I find it almost inconceivable that Toshiba (with patents for 50% of DVD technology 11 years ago) failed to join up with Sony (as they did with DVD) to perfect a single joint HD Disc standard.
And why haven't they decided to sell HD-DVD to other markets around the world (like India or Russia) who have their own increasing library of film and television programs in HD to sell to new consumers in those marketplaces? I would really like an explanation! What about you? Cheers - Jeremy R. Kipnis www.Kipnis-Studios.com |
