So after the first official week of Toshibas advertised new prices on hddvd players in ads at BB, CC, etc. software sales increase to a 35:65 split.

Not bad for a dying format to increase its market share by 84% compared to the last few weeks.

Still it was poor sales number for both formats this week, there hasn't been a must have release on either format in a while.

HD DVD jumped 33% to generate 51,878 in unit sales. BD fell about 17% to 147,180 units sold

Best Buy & Amazon had Buy 1 get 1 free sales on hd-dvd last week, maybe that'll get the BOGO sales back in Blu-Ray sooner.

Moose, I don’t think Amazon had a BOGO last week, but Best Buy did.

This week is the 100 Universal titles on sale on Amazon, next week is another BOGO at Best Buy.

It’s a pretty good idea, keep sales respectable until some bigger releases arrive.
