glocksout,
Funny you should mention that as I was at the AVN's Wednesday and spoke to DP's PR person there and their data is quite interesting, I somehow missed Vivid so I emailed there PR people for more info, expect a feature article on this soon. KT BTW Those girls REALLY should not be seen under fluorescent lighting!

CES was fun for me and I've been really busy.
Here is the deal on HD-DVD: Universal and Paramount/Dreamworks gave HD-DVD 4 weeks to either find a solution or they're going BD. So pretty much they're going BD. Unless MS buys LGF or something. |

Lotus,
Great news! I hope we see an end ASAP! I will still keep my XA2 until it dies and then worry about replacing my HD DVD collection.

Weirdly enough it is going to come down to a marketing research group's findings on the effect of the war on consumers.
I think that nearly 1M ****ed off consumers will leave a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of consumers towards BOTH sides. This wasn't a war for the consumers it was confusion and indifference. For Studios and CEs it was a war. The fact that nearly 1M consumers are being left as collateral damage does leave a bad taste in peoples mouths. The question is how many and will to adversely affect the outcome. |

With HD DVD out of the way, will BD titles go up in price? I already see an indication of this with the new releases this week. Most of the BD (single) titles at Amazon were < $20, but the two new releases I'm interested in; 3:10 To Yuma and Sunshine are $26.95 - $27.95 respectively. How are these prices going to get more people to buy into Blu-ray players?
