Ye, I need your help. I have a lots of home videos, and I want to make a nice dvd for the christmas day, the videos in different formats...I want to know how to do that?

You can use a DVD recorder and play the video into it. Editing will be a real pain though.

Or you can use a capture card and play them into your PC. There are several editors available like Microsoft Movie Maker to make polished videos. I use the Hauppauge 1212 video capture device and VideoReDo TV Suite V4 with h.264 for editing and combining.

Thanks for your help, but some of my formats videos can't be supported by the windows movie maker or dvd maker...so I had no luck of that...or I feel crazy...there's anpther way...thanks..

You say you have home videos? Are they analog tape or digital? How did you get different formats?

Guy, some videos comes from my doughtor who living china, some shotted via my Sony camera...some comes from my ant...but all that just home videos, I mean they are personal videos...thanx.

Are you able to play them somehow or are they digital files? Are they high def or standard def?

If all you wish to do is make a DVD of video files, you should give convertXtoDVD a try. I use it and so far it has handled every file format I have tried. Once it masters the DVD files the individual VOD files it makes can then be edited in movie maker or other mpeg2 editors. google for convertXtoDVD. There is a free evaluation program. Good luck.
