Biggest cable disaster?
Tell us your biggest cable disaster. Did you trip over your power cord and knock your $5,000 turn table onto the ground?

Re: Biggest cable disaster?
Well, let's see...
I dropped a spike from a KEF 107/2 through a brand new pair of Nordost Blue Heaven speaker wires, well wire. Pulled the outer covering off an RCA connector with a cable that bound too tightly. Pulled the wired from the RCA on a $400 cable. Bought power cords that in a month when I re-arranged the system no longer fit. Amoung others I'm just not thinking of now. Moose, That's not bad.... everything is spaced out pretty well! |

Re: Biggest cable disaster?
I was awaiting the arrival of some new Ultra Link and Transparent cables to use with my Meridian G Series components, so in the mean time I used my back up Monster Cable. When the new cables arrived and I went to remove the Monster stuff it tore all but two of the G Series inputs off the back. After I nearly blacked out from shock I was pleased to realize it was a simple fix, but still, having nearly $15K worth of gear nearly damaged by cable was enough to make my heart skip a beat.
Ever since the arrival of HDMI my life cable wise has been sooooo much better. My life compatibility wise has been soooooooo much worse. |
