Furutech Launches Ag12 Tonearm Cable
New for 2008!
Ag-12 Pure Transmission Silver-Plated Tonearm Cable • DIN/RCA
Tokyo • April 14th, 2008 • Furutech Co., Ltd., manufacturer of analog and digital audio and video cable and accessories, debuts the Ag-12 Pure Transmission silver-plated Alpha μ-OFC tonearm cable featuring nonmagnetic rhodium-plated DIN and RCA connectors.
Furutech’s Award-Winning Pure Transmission Build Quality
The sense of mechanical integrity of the Ag-12 tonearm cable’s build is immediately apparent. Furutech Pure Transmission technology turns a macro lens on every element of power and signal transfer applying optimized engineering solutions to well-known problems such as contact resistance, grounding, EMI and RFI rejection, and using the best materials and processes available.
Meticulous attention to build quality is a large part of the engineering equation: Rhodium-plated nonmagnetic pure-copper and phosphor bronze fittings, Furutech’s silver-plated Alpha μ-Conductors with four-layer shielding, and beautifully engineered rhodium-plated DIN and RCA connectors [FP-126(R)]. The Ag-12 Tonearm Cable’s low-level phono signal is further shielded with a cuff around the cable containing GC-303 EMI-absorbent material. All metal parts are subjected to the deep cryogenic and demagnetizing Alpha Process. Stay tuned, Michael Fremer of Stereophile has the silver-plated Ag-12 now!

The Critics Speak!
“If, like me, you appreciate taking many sonic steps forward and no steps backward, you’ll want to give these components a try.”
-- Chris Martens, August 07 the Absolute Sound
“If I had to limit myself to one key term … I'd opt for relaxed ultra resolution. … Things sound bigger. … [Under high SPLs] there's no funny business of compression, smearing or skewing … The sense of big simply gets bigger and bigger and bigger. … Tolerances are spot on … go in smoothly, locks and unlocks without any undue play … something luxurious and silken about the Furutech connectors. Like fine Swiss watches … perform to a very high standard, getting the tactile satisfaction and pride of ownership…
