I figured that. What is in the "box" of MIT cables and Transparent cables?

I believe it is some kind of impedance compensation network. I have to chuckle when I go to the MIT website and see a photo of the box, with an adjustment knob that shows "Articulation" and the two extreme positions are "More" and "Less"

Oh Yes!!! That's what I need, a "knob" for my cables! Or, maybe even better, a battery!
