thank you. I went to Sony's website last night and downloaded their firmware update for the BDP-S1. The update was last updated, as I recall, on 17 Oct 07, so it is fairly recent. The spiderman DVD began playing right away.

I bought the LG BH100 in Feb. 2007 and have been extremely happy with it until the past few months. Blu-ray tiltles have been giving me problems here and there< not to bad though. HD DVD has been perfect until Transformers. Spiderman 3, Fantastic 4 RSS, Premonition will not play in my player. Talked to LG and they said they would have a firmware update around Nov. 1st, now they say mid Nov. I paid $1200 for this player and it seems any new titles after Fantastic 4 will not play. I'm getting ****ed. Hopefully they'll stop dragging their feet and fix the problem.

Unfortunately, yes, it is Kirsten singing. Of course she pre-recorded the track and then lip-sang during the filming.
