Fox Announces "Romancing the Stone" and "Jewel of the Nile" Blu-ray Releases

Fox has Announced their plans to release the adventure films, "Romancing the Stone" and its sequel "Jewel of the Nile" this October. The films star Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner the set out in search of lost treasure. "Romancing the Stone" propelled director Robert Zemeckis' career - having gone on to director films such as "Back to the Future" and "Forrest Gump".

Each film will be released on BD-50GB discs with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video transfers and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtracks. No details on supplemental features are available at this time. The films are set for release on October 14th with a retail value of $39.95 each.

What ever you can buy these movies for $6.99 on DVDs I guess that is why I am still renting blu rays a monthly subscription is $20 a month with BB, and I rent about 20 movies a month = $1 per movie nobody can beat that deal.

When blu ray movies are priced reasonably $15-$10 then people will buy them!!!

I own about 600 DVDs that I picked up over the years at $10 average.
