All New Digital Playground Movies to Be Simultaneously Released On Dual Formats

June 9, 2008 --- VAN NUYS, Calif. --- In order to meet the growing demand for Blu-ray(TM) technology, Digital Playground announces its commitment to release all new titles simultaneously on DVD and Blu-ray. In addition, the innovative industry leader will continue to re-release at least one library title on Blu-ray each week. As of June 13, Digital Playground will have 21 Blu-ray titles to its credit, 3 times more than any other company in the adult entertainment industry.

Company Founder Joone is adamant about Digital Playground's role as technology leaders. DIVX would have been very successful (as a rental DVD format starting in 1997) had they captured this market.

I don't think that would have worlked, as we all know no one buys porn, it just sells like $1 billion a year, but no oone actually buys it.

If it was on DIVX, 'no one' would have to admit they had porn and re-pay to watch it again, and let's face it, we all know why you watched it the second time and it wasn't for the exciting plot twists!
