You heard wrong. New line is Blu-exlcusive.

And sadly for those who are purple/blu, the most reliable word on the LOTR films is that there are no plans to release them on HDM for a while (to give the surviving HD format a chance to grow first)

Actually PJ was working on an HD-DVD set. He was told he had until May to get them ready which may well sideline them for many years.

Provide confirmation (ie, something other than a secret conversation with an unnamed insider that connot be conferred by anyone else).
