Don't know what to say other than must have been one of those things. Sorry for the goose chase. Thanks for trying it on your system Moose.

I've noticed it before (not every time) but last night's viewing was the worst. Just one of those things. I'll let you guys know if it pops up again. For now all seems to be well again.

How about that...Blu-ray, the format that fixes itself.
This is a player related fault and is having trouble with a memory bandwidth bottleneck. It's a problem that will come and go. If it continues to persist and get worse you're likely to see other worse problems in the future.

Interesting.

Somewhat of a disease my player can live with, like genital herpes? Sorry that commercial just came on in the background. Why is everyone so happy to have genital herpes. I swear, these commercials always paint a rosy picture where you can have something like leprosy and still go kayaking and mountain climbing and feel GREAT!

Yea I did not see any thing on that scene.
I remember thinking how much detail I could see in the "little girls" hair when it showed her in closeup.

If it continues I would call & get it replaced if it's under warranty.

I have had problems with Bourne Ultimatum on my Toshiba HD-A35 player. Check out this article regarding skipping problems on the HD-A20 after the latest firmware update:

http://ultimateavmag.com/hddiscplaye...hup/index.html

Even though this is an HD-DVD issue, it educated me on just how many factors come into play with just a "skipping or freezing" issue. I'm sure that similar factors and related issues exist on the Bluray camp.

I wouldn't assume that you need to just dump the player. The problem is, how do you know when it is an actual hardware problem when software/firmware symptoms are the same?
