Again, I said new releases (titles that are new to any media format such as dvd, bluray, hddvd)!!! You do know what a new release is? Think a film that was in the theater 4-6 months ago and is now on dvd or hddvd, bluray. Think Oceans 13 not Oceans 11. Think the Bourne Ultimatum not The Bourne Identity. Think Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix not Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Well, then since the MAJORITY of Warner's HD DVD titles aren't "New Releases" by that definition, and therefore not combo-discs, that still would suggest that by not providing a warning, consumers are going to get confused and buy the wrong disc product on sites like Amazon where there is NO obvious visible statement that the product isn't for standard DVD players (ie, 4 out of 5 discs in the HP box set, where there is no warning unlike the blue, won't play on a DVD player). |

So I guess you're making the arguement that HD DVD buyers are smarter than BD buyers on Amazon. ![]() |

Early reports that are coming in that last week BD won again. 61:39 and that was against Bourne and Potter on both formats. the details of that rumor have the BD Harry Potter selling 1.2:1 against the HD DVD version.

Again essentially what Lotus has reported with a 1.1:1 lead. Which means hddvd's are easily earning Warner more profits which is what they have said they were after all along. In another words you have 2.7 million bluray players out there and 750,000 hddvd players and all bluray can manage is a 1.2:1 lead with almost 4 times as many players. No wonder Warner stated relying on gamers was dangerous.
