Just added a 3 GB memory "kit" from OWC to my 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro (max it will take) and it has definitely improved performance noticably. Plan to put the 2 GB I took out into the missus' 2.0 GHz iMac as soon as I can get the )(*#$^)(~! screws out of the access door!

All the magazines found no improvement in adding memory over 2G in any speed tests, are you saying it is appreciable better with 3G??

You must be working with some huge files to so the improvement.

Ken,

Found the biggest improvement in large files in Windows-based Photoshop under Parallels, although files in Aperture also seem a bit quicker to manipulate. Other than that, can't seem to see any appreciable difference - am hopeful that it will also speed up downloading and burning TiVo files but haven't had time to check that out yet.
