Samsung PD-1600 Won't Play Any Blu-Ray

I have a Samsung BD-P1600, not sure if it's the same as yours.

I have also noticed a few discs that would not play, usually a firmware update will fix the problem.
After some lengthy hesitation in the player, Avatar does play on mine.

I suggest taking the player back to where you bought it to see if they will replace it or help you out with sending it off for repairs.
Sometimes stores will try to help you out like that when problems happen.

Can you bring this player back to the store?If you can i would get another.Better yet get a sony or panny.Samsung for what ever reason can't make a blu-ray player that works. I've have seen more issues with samsung then any other player on the market.

Hi, we had the same problem with our Blu-ray. Would play any DVD we put in but started off with jumping large chunks of film as it was playing to stopping completely. We took it back to the shop and I think a new laser was put into the player. Still does this sometimes but nowhere near as much. One suggestion was that the player was too hot (something to do with too many appliances in out TV stand).
