Blu ray and a 26" 1080i tv, worth it or not?
 

At the moment, I only own a 26" Toshiba 1080i Hi-def CRT. I am considering a new laptop and may buy one with a blu-ray player. Am I wasting my money? At 26", is blu ray worth it? I already use an upcoverting DVD player. At what size do the benefits of blu ray show?

I think if you are going to get Blu-ray in the future then by going ahead and getting a Blu-ray player now you would start your Blu-ray library and avoid the necessity of replacing DVDs later. As far as if at 26" you will see a difference between Blu-ray and DVDs, it would depend on the screen resolution and how close you sit to the screen. At 3 feet or closer a 1080p screen would probably be noticeable.
