Are Current Blu-Ray players dead or dying?
I find this very disturbing for those who already bought a Blu-Ray player including the PS3.

Re: Are Current Blu-Ray players dead or dying?
I think this is an overly dramatic headline, firmware updates cover much if not all of this. I also suspect the vast majority of people buying a Blu-ray player, or an SD DVD player don't use extra features that much.

Re: Are Current Blu-Ray players dead or dying?
Early adopters are used to getting screwed, (look at the first gen HD-DVD players with slow load times & no 1080p) but I'm not worried, I'm sure my PS3 will get a firmware update to enable 1.1.
It was just an overly dramatic misleading headline. |

I was an early DVD adopter - paid way too much for the first sony dvd player. But I was enjoying DVD's for two years before many of my friends. Was it worth it - yes! I always had company to watch a new movie, many friends and family enjoyed many good time during that two year period. :)
