From my experience, most units download the updates from the internet, and then install. So, if your internet did go down during the download, it would not effect your player.

It's a power outage during install that I always worry about.

I still remain off the market until the Play from Stop is introduced. I thought some PS-3 post said it was in 2.2x, but not yet available.

Doesn't anybody else think that is a serious deficiency?
