Blu-Ray Player and DVD-A?
Are any of the new Blu-ray players able to play DVD-A (audio) discs? Thanks.

Alas, no one seems to care about the DVD-A format. I could be wrong, but I'd bet that SACD will work on some Sony Blu-Ray players.

As long as my 04 TL works, that's the only place I'll be listening to DVD-A discs.

Re: Blu-Ray Player and DVD-A?
I currently use my Rotel-1060 DVD player to play my DVD-A collection and it would be nice if the Blu-ray player I bought supported this format. Someone here was speculating that Oppo may make a Blu-ray player in the near future and I know they have universal player that supports DVD-A and SACD now, so hopefully it will continue to do so in the future.

My Panasonic BD-10A plays DVD-A. Too bad the format is on its last legs - it's my favorite of all the hi-rez formats. Maybe Dolby TrueHD or DTS MA will step in.
