the 7.1 channel decoding is a big part of why I prefer that + the on board 1G storage (However the S350 is upgradeable with an add on memory).
But like I said these are just the early contenders, I'm sure more 2.0 players are coming soon.

If you send bitstream to your receiver, IT does all the decoding, so once again, why would you spend the extra cash for analog outs that your Denon would then convert back to digital and then again back to analog?????

With what you have you only need bitstream out, everything else is superfluous.

Good point, but like I said it was only one option.
Since it doesn't come out till Sept. I'm sure I'll wait to see what is announced at CEDIA before getting a standalone.

I just want to make sure there will be a noticeable difference in audio & video quality over my PS3.

You know where I stand on this one, in my tests every player out is better than the PS3 for video and audio....

That's why I'm so excited about getting a standalone player, my Blu-Ray movies look amazing on the PS3 so I can hardly wait to see what they'll look like on a nice standalone!
