Default Re: Goldmund Introduces Company's First Blu-ray Player - $16,900!!

I don`t know about a scam, but their equipment has always been expensive. Dating back to their top of the line turntables, when I first got wind of them. But oddly, I hardly ever in the last few recent years, see any of their equipment get reviews, like all the other companies do.

Strange, and their prices continue to rise.

So given all of that, let's assume that it's about $1000 of Pioneer parts (Assuming it's the Elite boards), a chassis, and a power supply.

If it were a ground-up player (A nearly $1,000,000 investment for a company) then I would back this entirely. BUT IT IS NOT. The guys at Goldmund must have balls so large they have to be driven around in a cart - there's no way they could walk around! What a scam...

Hey, if you knew what the US Military pays for stuff this would sound
cheap, but of course the Military is keeping us safe from a complete
Invasion by those terrorist that have no aircraft carriers, no air force
no navy, no helocopters, no tanks....and that costs a lot of money

Now you can get a pair of speakers (only $300,000) to go with that $17K BD player:

The price of the Goldmund Epilogue Speaker System for use in the Goldmund Media Room is comparable to its freestanding counterpart, starting at $300,000 per stereo pair. Goldmund products range in price from $16,900 for the recently released Eidos 20BD blu-ray player up to $550,000, the entry price for the Goldmund Media Room. http://www.widescreenreview.com/news...l.php?id=16061
