I expect we'll be seeing alot of these from many companies by CEDIA in September. I know many of the 'big boys' were already hinting or frankly talking about new pre/pro's, they just aren't here yet.

In regards to video, all analog conversion would be handled by the projector or display.

Do you even know how a BD player works?

If you were right (which you're not) then it wouldn't matter what BD player you had. All Video and Audio would be treated the exact same with no quality differences at all.
Lotus,

I was talking about analog conversion of the video signal not taking place in the BD player when using the proper HDMI connection protocol with a display (the highest qualitiy video connection available and the only way to get native 1080p). Re-read my original post and note the context of my comments.

Please relax and stop the knee-jerk argument.

HDMI is not the only way to get native 1080p. If you have a native 1080p PC monitor or projector - you can out put native 1080p via VGA (analog - but its still non-interlaced progressive scan - no interlaced video in PC),DVI, or HDMI. Conversion is handled by the GPU on the video card.

Yeah I did that. You have no idea how a BD player works.

This is what I've been waiting for I hope Rotel or Parasound come out with a killer BD player by the end of this year.

I think you will see a lot of the big boys producing Blu-ray players, the market is right for it now, I know many companies were sort of tinkering with one or the other format, but I think the big guys just didn't want to dump all that cash into research on a potential loser. Now that HD DVD is out of the picture, nothing should hold them back from producing high quality BLu-ray players.
