Right but the article you quoted "the Halo Killer," was a link to their article about Activision incorrectly claiming they had sold more titles of COD4 than MS sold of HALO3.

As for what you've heard you heard wrong. PS3 will win Europe and Japan according to EA's prediction and lose North America by about 2 to 1. They predict the PS3 will win Europe by 5 million units! It's even in the link you provided (where you cut that sentence out).

11.5M to 9M overall. They predict 6.5M to Europe over 1.5M for the 360. They predict 1.5M in Japan to 500k for the 360.

That is 3.5M to 7M in North America.

I could definitely believe that PS3 will win in sales in the U.K. When I was there about 6 - 7 months back, the only game system I saw in stores was PS3. They were on SALE for 1000 pounds each (the US dollar was still worth only 1/2 a pound back then too). I saw more than just one or two people walking around with newly purchased PS3s in their bags. I thought a new special European version was out. When I went to go look at them, they were just regular old PS3s.

The NPD group have analyzed the month of January 2008 and come up with the numbers, The PlayStation 3 outsold the 360.

269,000 PS3 were sold compared to 230,000 Xbox 360's.
What that means is the PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 by 17% for January '08.

I'm looking for a big sales boost in the next couple of months as hd-dvd people start buying PS3's for Blu-Ray.

I don't know about that. There were only like 250,000 XBOX users with the addon. Plus there are only 1M HD-DVD owners.

Plus GDC was slammed with games that flat out blew away the PS3 showings. Gears of War 2 for instance is going to fully show off the power of the 360 graphically which is something we haven't really seen yet. The stuff they showed at GDC was stunning and actual in game play.

PS3 has far superior physics capablities and they need to seriously start taking advantage of it. Right now they're not, and it looks like the 360 is finally about to show off it's graphical power.

April 29th to be exact!!

The PS3 outsold the xbox 360 again in February.

With the big game releases coming soon I don't see the PS3 sales slowing down anytime soon & that should help drive more Blu-ray sales as well.
