I am scared to death of these dual players right now with all the firmware nightmares that come from the one format players.

With that said, if HD DVD gets their act together - these will be a LOT more standard.

My advice to the companies making the players is: if there was ever a disc that could fit in the player - their player BETTER play it. SACD, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video, MP3 CD, MP3 DVD and way beyond. HD DVD and Blu-ray will be assumed....

I had the same idea , Now the A3 is $121.00 at amazon . I bought the Toshiba A2 for $299.00 back in June when they I thought it was cheap. I also have the PS3 40GB w/1080p Blu Ray for $399 (+ 6 FREE movies too. I have 3 HDMi inputs with my Onyko 705 so it works fine . Best of both words.

Thant is a little cheaper the Samsung BD 500 or the LG Dual player too.
