On the rock radio station KLPS (95.5 fm) in Los Angeles this weekend they played the entire Sgt. Pepper album. I think that is a better album for casual listening and then Dark Side is better for audio geeks or drug addicts to trip out to. I think Pink Floyd's Animals is more engaging personally than darkside but to each is own. The Wall wears you out mentally when listening from start to end.

Another great "suggestion" list of the top 100...
As with all other things, there will be disagreements with these. Just as songs are "interpreted" by the listener, and seldom have the actual meaning that the song was originally written about, so it is with Albums... It is all in the Interpretation of the individual... Let alone what was going on in your life at the time. I really enjoy all the different opinions and "top" lists that I see, they tend to make me re-think my favorites and listen to others again and again... I guess my list would change depending on the day... I just love music too much... |

A point about Album Sales
I started with Sales as a main factor but got away from that quickly. In fact, I ultimately removed it from the points totals completely.
First off - good numbers are hard to get and secondly, MANY great records didn't sell well as compared to a record like Full Moon Fever or some other mediocre peice of....
