The new Maroon 5 album sounds amazing and the songs are ALL hits. It's one of those records where the first 7 songs sound immediately like hits and the rest of the album grows on you as you listen to it. It will sell 5,000,000 copies I predict, which in this world of downloads and ring-tones is HUGE sales.

Audioslave's dualdisc while not a 2007 album release is worth buying.

"Show me how to Live" is a GREAT demo until the chorus. Really impressive at high volumes.

Taking sound to mean what I'd like it to the absolute best sounding CD of the year has been Richard Thompson's Sweet Warrior. Beautifully played, recorded and mixed. I have played it loud enough to have my chest threaten to cave in and it still sounds as pure as can be. If it comes out in any 5.1 format I will buy two so I can give one to my brother. Pick it up.
