Default Johnathan Butler's Gospel Music Deep soundstage

This South African can play - we all know this, but his new CD release "Brand New Day" is just hot!!!! The soundstage on this cd is down right deep and spooky! The title cut has a reprise that's just a sonic cornacopia! It has become on of my favorite CD's to demo sound with. Have any of you listened to any of his new Gospe works? Kirk Whallum is also killing it on the Gospel Jazz scene along with Ta Ta Vega!

Thumbs up Re: Johnathan Butler's Gospel Music Deep soundstage

Yes, most definitely. While I have not checked this brand new Butler Gospel release, his first foray into the Gospel arena was excellent. And Whalum`s first two Gospel entries were superb.
I`m beginning to see more Jazz artist move into the Gospel arena.

Whalum is a very good sax player. As an ex-player myself, I like his tone. Introduced to the world by Bob James, Whalum has done well for himself.

I am looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I did not make it downtown to J and R. I`ll see if I can purchase it around locally.
