WHO MAKES THE BEST AMP?

Really!! Is it solid state, or tubes? I`ve always been a little leary about tubes because they have to be replaced, and solid state seems to have more oomph..
How powerful is it?
And, yes, I`ve always loved the blue and gold faceplate, the VU meters going back and forth. Just put in your disc or LP, turn out the lights, listen and look at the glowing blue!!

it's solid state rated at 200wpc into 8 ohms and I believe 300wpc into 4. Don't quote me on the 4 ohm rating. I do know it's roughly $2,500 give or take. I think you can get them sub $2K on Audiogon.

That is excellent. I will check it out. However, I don`t know if you saw my earlier quote, but I`m a little leary about buying used gear.
Well, when I go to Binghamton, hopefully this summer for the tour, I`ll check one out.

Yes, the MA6900 is 200 watts per channel at 2/4/8 ohms. Those blue meters just wan to make me grab the unit right off the picture.

Classé! I own the now discontinued CAV-180 ... 180 watts@8 ohms ... 360 watts@4 ohms.

Fabulous amp. Used to drive 5 Martin Logan electrostatic speakers very cleanly!

Beautifully made amps ... if you ever have a chance look inside one of these amps you will see absolute first class quality!!!
