I read your review and that confirmed my choice easily. I'm gonna get the S300iu

Do you have some idea how may it sound with a pair of Linn AV5140?

Sadly, my experience with Linn speakers has been limited, so I can't give you a definitive answer one way or another except to say that I have not met a speaker that has not sounded good with the Bel Canto's powering them. I've used the Bel Canto's on Paradigms, Meridian, Orb, Atlantic Technology, Aperion Audio and soon Martin Logan. I've also heard them with Joseph Audio as well as Wilson speakers and across the board the results have been stellar. I can't speak to Linn products but I can't imagine the Bel Canto's making them sound bad.

The S300iu should be a truly neutral component then.

Have you tried ProAc maybe? I have auditioned some and they don't sound too much different from my Linn.
