Hi , I am a big fan of Meridian pre-pro, just love the sound, I am using a 568 now with a YBA2HC(fronts) and Dreadnaught driving B&W speakers. I have the urge to change amps to drive my 803, and have a couple of brands in mind like Mark Levinson and Mcintosh, but not sure if it's going to make a huge difference or even downgrade???
Any advise? |

I can whole-heartedly recommend pairing Levinson with Meridian. I'm using a 336 with my 861 and absolutely love the combo. Speakers are Aerial 10T's by the way. |

I pair Mark Levinson No. 436s using Transparent cable with my 800-861 Meridian rig.
AVRev.com mamanging editor, Andrew Robinson uses G-Series Meridian with the Levinson 3 channel amp and Meridian in-walls (among other speakers) AVRev.com senior editor, Bryan Southard uses G series meridian with Levinson 436 amps. Reviewer Dr. Ken Taraszka uses an 800-861 with Levinson amps. I think the reviewers have spoken with their wallets. ![]()

Well, Jerry beat me to the punch... Levinson and Meridian mate very well, and I can also confirm the synergy with transparent's cables. Truly a wonderful match. Just ask Silver Supra, who I swayed that way a year or more ago, he loves the combo too!

Thanks for all your advises and endorsement. Now I know which direction I should be heading towards. Truly Mark amps does give that pride of ownership, it have been my dream to own one someday.
Some have told me that the sonic difference between the 568 and the G68 is subtle, is that true? Have any of you done a direct comparison before? |
