But the monster crap and others are a joke, An independent broadcasting lab in the UK tested HDMi cable certified 1.3 ranging from $10 to $1000 and found no difference it testing the cable with sofisticated broadcast equipment as well as a customer test plunging them into a blu ray and a TV and had the same exact results.

The difference was the packaging in the $1000 cable was very nice!! Care for a wooden box for that cable?

Yes, that is why you need to look for HDMi 1.3 certification.

Well, if there were that kind of care and certification with analog cables, than you, I and everybody would hear about it. Instead, we are accosted by video, smoke, and promises of a better transducer in a cable, all the time.

But this doesn't change the physics, which make it impossible to get all frequencies of a signal from one end of a cable to the other with all information arriving at the same time (no phase shift, either), without significant attention to winding, surface area, dielectric, etc. and these are largely responsible for what changes the sound quality of a signal when using analog cables to carry that audio signal.

Optical has none of these problems, and a whole slew of others!

Either way, I choose wireless as the least distorting transmission system!

I got over the cable voodoo years ago, but this post for some reason hit a nerve...

The Furutech Powerflux Power Cord I believe cost about $1,800. Study the science (or lack of) purported by the manufacturer of this cable, then say no to crack! As an audio enthusiast and licensed Electrical Contractor with a PhD Electrical Engineer on board, we focus on cable distribution and power quality management systems daily. These over-priced power cable products are dubious at best. I am amazed that they even exist with today's ability to fact check the claims made.
