How long can Toshiba hold out with numbers like this?
Blu-ray players were down to $300 in December while many B&M shops had 1080i A3 players at $250. Hardly a $200 price advantage for HD DVD.
Biased articles from paid propaganda artists like Bill Hunt and Thomas K Arnold might as well be official press releases from the BDA as there is no journalistic credibility to be found.
That being said, I will agree that the WB decision and probably more importantly HD DVD’s silence for the next week really killed HD DVD sales. However, since the price cut, HD DVD hardware sales have picked back up as indicated by product ranking on Amazon, Circuit City, etc… Robert from Value Electronics said HD DVD hardware is selling briskly since the new price drop and he’s had to order 200 additional units for his store.
