The majors ONLY pick the lowest hanging fruit.
UNLIKE people who actually CARE about the sound of music and feel like that they should be advancing the art of musical reproduction - the majors are just like bankers looking for their next easy score. They forget they have to create important art that includes surround sound, better recordings, HD video and more YET they sell 1/4 CD resolution downloads as their future. Its a joke but I don't expect them to wise up anytime soon thus the world of high res music will be for the specialty labels like AIX and the others.
