Re: What is the best rear projection HDTV currently?
I recently lived with a new Samsung LED DLP TV in my house for a week.
The good news is that it uses less electricity than normal TVs and its bulb won't be burning out on you.
That is about it. You have to sit in the sweet spot and have the TV raised to your eye level for any kind of good PQ. You still get some obvious hot spot issues. The colors aren't as accurate as I'd like either. Contrast was so so.
I give them props for doing it though. I expect next years units to be better.
I just got an LED LCD flat panel from them. It however seems to be an entirely different story. I'll post about it in the flat panel forum.
