The House of Mouse is putting a lot of pressure along with Warners for them to come up with a solution.
Otherwise those two are going to come up with one of their own. Warners may go exclusive to HD DVD. I'd put that at about a 40% chance right now. Disney may go neutral. I'd put that at about 70%.
Sony is either going to cough up cash to stop Warners from going exclusive (and remain neutral) or cough up cash and keep Disney exclusive. I don't see Toshiba/MS coughing up cash to battle Sony over Warners. I think they'll keep that cash to make sure Disney isn't bought by Sony again (no they didn't receive advertising money, they received a ludicrous price for BD50).
It was pretty funny that the official BDA website pointed to
www.thelookandsoundofperfect.com for about 6 hours. I don't really think it was anything but a hacker. It was just a hacker with a good sense of humor.
