Yeah we were told the player will likely be priced around $600 sometime soon.
It didn't make much sense that they would drop it. Between their player and the Integra (their boutique brand) they are the only "mid fi," or high end players on the market.
The model isn't identical to the XA2. It is tweaked. I havent had time to sit down with one yet though.
Also I emailed Meridian as well... and was told "players," are still being developed but they again haven't made any firm decisions.
