I assume they are DVR's since they have TV tuners, I'm sure what ever we get wouldn't have the TV tuners.

I can see a couple of uses for them, with 50G storage you could really get a lot of stuff on them & when you get a HD camcorder you could transfer a lot of HD on to a single Blu-Ray disc.
