yes but a diesel can be converted to run off veggie oil from your local McDonalds and still retain 98% of its horsepower with ZERO emissions. Unless you count that delicious french fry smell coming from your exhaust.
Also, if you can go twice as far on diesel on the same size tank the savings would be great.
Hell, skip diesel altogether and just let auto makers make petrol engines that can do wonders. problem is, everytime they reinvent something the oil companies cut 'em off at the knees.
