To those who are listening...

I have been doing some research on receivers and if I go the HDMI route, I am looking at either the Denon 2807 or Yamaha rx-v861 or possibly the new Onkyo 805...

The problem is that these receivers will run $800-1000 and may be a bit too much for what I want currently..
I know that it is important to get the best receiver and build around it..

This question is very vague, but any suggestions for a top notch receiver around the 300-500 range from any of the above companies?

Should I go for the HMDI receiver?

A little help would be appreciated.
