Re: What is the best rear projection HDTV currently?
For about 5 grand you can get a Pioneer 6010 60" 1080p plasma that is far superior to any SXRD, D'ILA, or DLP product. I prefer the Sony 52" LCD XBR5 over their SXRD sets. If I needed at least a 70" screen I would get a good Epson, Sony, or Panny projector aith a nice screen. If you don't want the screen to visible all the time get one with a motorized (or even cheaper, a non-motorized) screen roll-up and roll-down device.
Heck, the Panny 58" 700U 1080p plasma can be gotten for between $3,200-$4,000. It is not quite as good as the new Pioneers, but itis cheaper and also far better than any rear projection set I've seen.
