2 channel music as well as 5.1 music is very good, a good radio signal & streaming lossless CD's ripped to my computer sound very good, streaming internet radio is also very good but I don't have any lossy MP3's to try.
My room is too small for 7.1 but this thing rocks 5.1 movies!
I am very happy with the Denon!
This is a big improvement over my old Sony V444ES receiver!
